CHOO CHOO is a little engine who is very busy pulling people, mail and baggage all over the countryside. CHOO CHOO also has an engineer named Jim who loves CHOO CHOO and takes very good care of her. Well, one day CHOO CHOO decides she is tired of all the pulling people and such all over the place and she takes off. As you can imagine, things don’t turn out quite as well as CHOO CHOO had expected and after a lot of panic and worry from Jim and a rescue, CHOO CHOO happily returns home. If your little one loves trains or Thomas the Train the will LOVE this book!!
Two little girls who come from two different backgrounds. They love to play together and to draw together and to eat lunch together. One thing that is different about them though is that their lunches are different. One of them always has a hummus sandwich and the other always has a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Neither one of them tells the other that they think the other girl’s sandwich looks gross, until one day, they do and things just aren’t quite the same anymore. Luckily, after some time eating separate from each other and a very unfortunate food fight, the girls have an idea to bring the whole school together.
This is a super cute story inspired by an event that happened in the author’s life. There’s a blurb at the end of the story explaining what happened and what she learned from her experience.
Does your child have a favorite toy that they just cannot seem to live without? Tommy has lost his favorite truck. His mom, his dad and his siblings all try to help him find something else to do, but all he wants is his believed red truck. Maybe the dog knows where it is???
A cute rhyming story that could lead to a good discussion with your little one about their favorite toy and where they would look if they couldn’t find it and what they would play with until it turned up.
Wow! I LOVE this book. First of all, the illustrations are PHENOMENAL!!! This is one of the most gorgeous books I have read in a very long time. This is a great bedtime book as birds, frogs, cows, tigers and other furry creatures settle their own little ones in for the night. This book would also make a great gift for a new parent…a great baby shower gift perhaps.
If you have a little history buff in your house, then they will love this book. It is a fictional account of George’s 7th birthday. His whole family forgets…he has to do his school work and help his dad in the cherry orchard. Oh, but did they forget or is there a surprise waiting for George? Children will like this story because not only is it an engaging fictional story about our nation’s first president, but it also had facts about his life intertwined with the story.
Tom has an adventure one night while he is supposed to be asleep in his bed. Some girl pirates let him join their pirate ship and that night they invade the evil Captain Patch’s camp and sail away with his treasure chest. Tom is a very brave boy, but he is now a very sleepy little boy, too.
All of the things a child could kiss…a pig? A skunk? A mop? A snake? A bird? A mouse? Your little one will love all of the animals in this book and also get a chuckle from some of the illustrations. In the end, the little boy kisses his daddy goodnight which is a way better thing to kiss than a mop. 🙂 A very cute rhyming story with a sweet ending.
A very cute rhyming book that talks about all kinds of animals that are easy to hug…bunnies, cats, dogs, even pigs. But how to you hug a porcupine? The boy in the story comes up with all kinds of different ways to protect himself from the prickly porcupine, but in the end, it’s the porcupine who comes up with the best solution. This is a fun every day book and would be a cute Valentine’s Day book as well.
All of the animals on the farm love the kisses that their parents give them. If your child is in that stage right now where they love farm animals, this would be a great book for them.
Hedgehug has BIG plans for Valentine’s Day. He has made his cards and is ready to show his love to all the critters in the forest. Unfortunately, some of them aren’t as receptive to Hedgehug’s prickly hugs as he had hoped for. His little heart is broken and he’s ready to give up when there’s a tap on his shoulder. Maybe he does have a friend out there. A very cute story of how sometimes things don’t always go the way you expect them to. I also thought I should note, that this adorable little story also uses the word “stupid” in it. If that bothers you, then just change it to “silly” and your little one will never know the difference, or if they do notice you can explain to them why you changed it. Happy reading!
